Bangkok, Thailand—Eduardo Barretto Sr. Integrated School (EBSIS) proudly celebrated another significant achievement as their mathletes secured a total of three medals—one gold and two silvers—at the final round of the Siam International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (SIMSO) held from August 9 to 12.
Joining her on the podium was Cidi Clare De Chavez, also from Grade 10 Marble, who earned a silver medal in the Secondary 3 category. De Chavez's achievement further underscored the strong mathematical talent nurtured at EBSIS.
Adding to the school’s accolades, Sophia Cassandra Halongong from Grade 8 Jasmine secured a silver medal in the Secondary 1 category. Halongong’s success at a young age highlights the promising future of EBSIS’s mathematics program.
The students were accompanied by their dedicated coaches, Mrs. Joan S. Tiaba and Mr. Bryan Anthony O. Sario, who provided unwavering support and guidance throughout the competition. Their expertise played a crucial role in the students’ preparation and success on the international stage.
The SIMSO is a prestigious event that brings together top young minds from across the world to compete in rigorous mathematics and science challenges. The EBSIS team’s remarkable performance at this competition is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and the high-quality education provided by the school.
The EBSIS community is immensely proud of its mathletes and
their coaches for bringing home these honors. Their achievements inspire not
