Math Department Announces Newly Elected Mathematics Club Officers for SY 2025–2026


    Mathematics Department proudly announces the newly elected officers of the Mathematics Club for School Year 2025–2026. With the theme of promoting excellence in numeracy and critical thinking, this dynamic group of student leaders is set to lead the school in a year filled with math-tastic activities, logical challenges, and academic enrichment.

    Leading the club is Franchesca Odejar from Grade 10-Zeus, who was elected as President, supported by Faith Rhia A. RaƱin of Grade 9-Mt. Makiling as Vice President. The position of Secretary is held by Lee Anne Tifanny B. Dando from Grade 8-Excellent, while Chrysler Lorraine M. Maulit, also from Grade 10-Zeus, takes on the role of Treasurer.

    The club’s financial integrity will be overseen by Auditor Lhey Andee A. Catimbang of Grade 7-Tinikling. For communication and information dissemination, Nigel Ivan M. Bebis (Grade 8-Excellent) and Marrian Jean Ranque (Grade 12-John Creswell) will serve as Public Information Officers for Junior High School and Senior High School respectively.

    The Business Manager position will be jointly handled by Shannon Lee P. Dagunan (Grade 9-Mt. Makiling) and Avril Ashlee S. Alcantara (Grade 10-Zeus), both known for their active participation in math-related competitions and school events.

    Each grade level will also be represented by dedicated students:

  • Grade 7 Representative: Niecole L. Vergara – Grade 7-Tinikling

  • Grade 8 Representative: Jayme F. Dela Rueda – Grade 8-Excellent

  • Grade 9 Representative: Sophia Cassandra C. Halongong – Grade 9-Mt. Makiling

  • Grade 10 Representative: Bea Salendrez – Grade 10-Zeus

  • Grade 11 Representative: Edcelen S. Robles – Grade 11-Milky Way

  • Grade 12 Representative: Cyrille M. Claros – Grade 12-John Creswell

    The club will be under the guidance of their adviser, Ms. Cathy Parabuac, whose continued support and leadership have been instrumental in nurturing student engagement in mathematics.

    As these officers take their roles, EBSIS looks forward to a year of growth, collaboration, and mathematical excellence. Congratulations to all the newly elected leaders!


Alcantara Wins Bronze in HKIMO Heat Round

 

    Eduardo Barretto Sr. Integrated School (EBSIS) celebrates another milestone as Avril Ashlee Alcantara, a proud student of Grade 10- Zeus, brought home a bronze medal in the recently concluded Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) – Heat Round held last May 18, 2025.

    Competing against some of the most promising young mathematicians across the nation, Alcantara showcased her skills and determination, earning a spot on the podium and bringing honor once again to the EBSIS community. Her exemplary performance has qualified her to represent the Philippines in the HKIMO International Round scheduled to take place in Hong Kong on August 22–25, 2025.

    The entire EBSIS Family expresses their heartfelt congratulations and pride in Alcantara’s achievement. Her success reflects not only her personal dedication but also the school’s continued commitment to excellence in mathematics education.

    Avril’s journey continues as she prepares for the next round of international competition, carrying with her the hopes and support of her fellow EBSIS students and mentors.
